Greyhoundz will be joining us tonight at 7:00 p.m., and for that I have to go to Benpres early to set-up the... umm... set. I brought the carpet from my house and I have a black bean bag in the office. Hope this'll work out.

My batchmates handling the yearbook are really fucking up. Last week I received a forwarded e-mail from Eugene Santos washing his hands from the whole thing. I'm seriously thinking of posting his e-mail just for the kicks. Anyway, according to the e-mail, he was officially the photo editor and was only appointed as the OIC when Catherine So left for the States. He said that he did his part of the work. Bad news is that there are not enough funds to have our yearbook published.

And so I did what an asshole is supposed to do. What else but forward the respective e-mail to the Alumni Affairs Office and told them that I'm "sick and tired of all the rumored updates of our yearbook" and asked them for a clarification! Now I'm expecting an e-mail from them (and from Euge) really soon.

Rest in peace, Father Gorospe, S.J.
Thank you for your trains.

Today's my first leave for this year, and I'm planning to do some personal stuff first. I'm planning to drop by Shoppersville later and do some shopping. Gotta get myself some soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, and a big balde.

Morny and I were sitting in the middle of Bellarmine field last night till 10. We were doing our those were the days ritual. And it was cool. No more bar girls for him, he said. He's focusing on getting Paulette. As a matter of fact, he asked her out for a date this week. And he's still worried about the transpo.

If he didn't pass the Ateneo, he would've applied in UST for Physical Theraphy. That's good because I would've taken Architecture in the same university. The question I ask myself is would I be the one doing the Chruch of the Gesu if I finished that course?

Joke time namin ni Morny sa Bellarmine Field:

Anak: Dad! Sa wakas nakatikim na rin ako ng blow job!

Dad: Ssshhhh! Huwag kang maingay at baka ka marinig ng mommy mo! O kumusta ang experience mo, anak?

Anak: Ang pait pala!

Happy Birthday, Joyce! You're getting old! At 28, you should be thinking of settling down already. Hahahaha! Just kidding. I sound like my mother.

I watched Ocean's Eleven yesterday and it was cool. I enjoyed it. Here's what I said after the movie: "'Yan ang gusto ko sa pelikula - hindi mo na kailangan pang mag-isip!" hehehe.

Morny finally asked Paulette out for a date. If this pushes through, I will have to rename my car. hehehehe.

Planned to go to Batangas today, but I got so lazy. Stilll haven't figured out what to do for my leave. Now that they approved it, what will I do?

Let me give you a backgrounder. There's this cute girl from UA&P who applied for a traineeship program in the office. Naturally I accepted her. Aside from the fact that she's taking a Master of Science in Information Technology and that she's really nice, I'm getting more and more desperate in getting myself a girlfriend. So maybe I can do a Moby one more time. hehehe.

Now I think there seems to be some trouble. And so she wrote me an e-mail...

Sir

The people assigned in the Corporate Internship of our batch received the job description from your company. Thank you very much. As I bumped into one of them, she said that the work you require is just basic computer typing and that there is not much I.T. involved. I asked her the case of the interns you had, upper batch, (e.g. Kateh, Rina, etc.), she said theirs involved Web Development. I got very worried and until now, I am still worried because I am really eager in working with you guys. I've talked with sila Kateh and they said masaya daw working with you and I got very excited. They said they might join in again this coming summer. But then the bad news is here and Kateh suggested that I tell you my concers. I am just wondering if you can make me do OJT work under Web Development like what Kateh and her friends had before? I am really looking forward in working with the you people. Help!

Thanks in advance!

Heidi

And I'm shocked at how I replied to her e-mail...

heidi,

thank you very much for your e-mail.

as i've told you in the interview, the work would require less technical knowledge and more on the interpersonal skills. Contrary to what your instructors have said, there's more to what you'll do than typing. we are more into building virtual communities.

kateh and her other schoolmates were assigned to these tasks. our focus then before was the web communities. and they were made to facilitate our discussion forums and other community services.

now, our focus is still on building filipino communities. and to achieve that, we have to look beyond the realms of the internet. there are roughly 2 million filipinos who has access to the web versus 6 million people who use cellphones. it is logical for us to connect with these people.

as you can see, it's a different thing for each country. and that's why we have to tailor-fit what we offer to what this country wants. in short, you can't just do web.

i hope this clarifies a lot of things for you.

on a personal note on the ojt, i think this would help you realize the human behind the machine. let your professors teach you how to program and all those stuff. in the end, it's the interpersonal skills that you need more to survive.

thanks again.

hope to see you soon.

I finally had the balls to do it. I went to my boss and raised the issue on cutting down the channel's lifespan by offering the service to other channels. Mukhang dehins naman pwede yun. We'll be the next to the pearl shake fad if that happens.

That's not the whole of it. We were called as consultants for that project. We had no clue that we're going to develop it. It's OK as long as the hits go to our team, but we found out that after we've offered our blood and sweat to this project, the credit goes to the other team. What a bummer!

Now I know what you're talking -- we should work hand in hand, that it doesn't matter how we get there as long as we get there. Well that's not the case for me. Each of the teams are assigned with resources - manpower and all! Use your resources first before you ask for more. At this point, there's no such thing as a free ride.

Woke up feeling dizzy today. I checked my BP and confirmed my hunch. Yup, I have a high blood pressure again. I texted the guys at the office and told them that I'm staying at home today. Then I took a short nap.

Talking to a friend yesterday afternoon kinda gave me a reality check - I am getting old. And with that, I should start thinking of my future. I barely have any savings enough to raise a family! Geez! This is terrible.

I just finished recording a copy of Transformers the movie on VHS. If you want a copy, give me a holler. :)

Happy New Year, ChaTXTers! That is how Kuya TXTjock would say it on TV.

We started 2002 with a bang and introduced scrolling TXT messages in TXT 2366. No more crude 5-second refresh for our customers. No siree! Only the best for our kapatid sa pananampalataya. hehehe. Yemen?

We'll be having Heart Evangelista tonight at 7pm chatting live from the Wonderful World of Benpres' Basement! Don't ask me who the hell is she. I've no clue. It's probably just one of those starlets doomed to fail anyway. But what the hell! As they say, might as well use them while they're still there. Gotta strike while the fire is hot, boy! hehehehe.

Oh yeah! Happy birthday, Kyle!
