And what a year it was.

I guess this will be my last entry for 2003. I really don't know what to write about, but I have one thing definite in my mind - I don't want to end this blog with a Legolas entry.

The Christmas festivities took its toll on me as I was rushed to the emergency room of St. Luke's because at two o' clock in morning of the 26th for my high blood pressure. Honestly, it didn't feel a thing. I wasn't dizzy at all. Maybe I just panicked when I saw 172/100 on the digital monitor. They made me stay till seven in the morning after resting and taking Catapres. If there's one good thing from this incident, at least I didn't pay for anything. Surprisingly, my company's health card paid off.

So now it's back to exercise and diet again.
Cheez whiz is back in action. I installed her old dilapidated knobby tires and we had several runs at the "trails" at the back of the Ateneo high school.

It's great to be riding again. I was so nostalgic that I even enjoyed changing a flat tire I got from my last run.

Today's the 30th. I should get ready in a while for day three of our film fest marathon. We've already seen Crying Ladies and Filipinas. I think today's movie is Mano Po 2: Our Home. I'm expecting the worst.

If you're planning on just watching one, then line up for Crying Ladies.

May pangako ngang taglay ang 2003 para sa akin.

O ha!

Legolas

Legolas Greenleaf

If I were a character in The Lord of the Rings, I would be Legolas, Elf, a son of the King of Mirkwood.

In the movie, I am played by Orlando Bloom.

Who would you be?

It's the 23rd.

We brought Zagu to the vet this morning for his deworming shot. It was fun being stuck in the car with him. What sucks is you really have to vacuum your car afterwards. He sheds a lot of hair. Looking at the backseat of Carlo's Bettina reminds me of the dilapidated couch in Loyola -- it's the horrific green couch which Zagu "tasted" when he was young.

With my sister down with tummy problems again, I'm tasked to handle the food for the noche buena tomorrow night. I'm thinking of ordering garlic fish fillet from Hap Chan, roasted duck from Shangri-La, pork and squid barbecue from Grill Queen, and paella probably from Minggoy's. I'm having second thoughts in getting a quarter of lechon de leche from Kamayan now with everyone at the edge of their normal cholesterol levels.

Talking about Christmas preparation, there's a Christmas Mass at the Church of the Gesu at the Ateneo tomorrow night at ten o' clock in the evening. If you want to be seated, be there by nine.

It's 12:41 in the afternoon. I have to get ready to drive to Morato for my haircut.

Have a great Christmas, everyone!

I haven't blogged in a while. I was busy with a lot ogf things these past weeks. There were instances that I was already facing my computer, but then I don't know what to write or where to start.

It's my dad's birthday today. He just turned 59. I may be mistaken but I think by next year he can apply for a senior citizen's card.

I'm now in my room. I woke up thirty minutes ago. I'll be logging off in a few minutes. Me and my fiancee are going to Makati for her meeting with her friends from college. Then we'll be meeting with the family and have dinner at Panciteria de San Jacinto later at around 6.

The Ring

And she said "Yes."

8:45 PM

It was magical
Hehehehe. Too showbiz, but I couldn't resist it. And as Morny said, "taga-ABS naman kayo eh!"

Well, I'll let her tell you her side of the story, but I think Candice has packaged it in her quotable quote, "sa teleserye lang nangyayari ito!"

Yes, for those of you who weren't there, something happened on the night of the 12th. That's right, Charo and I are engaged. Read that line again - Charo and I are engaged! So if you happen to receive the invitation for a surprise party for me on the 12th, then guess what? I knew it all along! I was just riding along so I'd get perfect timing for me to make the proposal. So the person who threw the surprise party is the one who got the surprise of her life!

I think Dan managed to steal some shots of the proposal. I know Mira has some in her phone. If ever, I'll have them posted here so all of you could relive the moment. If there's one thing we regret, it's not being able to film the whole event. Well, I told Cha that we're more than willing to reenact the whole thing, but this time it would be Gardo playing the role as Jovan.

To my friends, Joseph and Morny, thank you very much for making this happen. I wish Rumel, Joyce and Jojo were here so they could've gotten into the great conspiracy as well. But don't worry. I'm sure the boys will have a second chance with planning for Joyce's proposal, but that is IF he'll let us.

To those who were there but left early, sayang. I really wanted to tell you wait but then it might jeopardize the surprise.

To those who greeted me a happy birthday, thank you. Try greeting me again on the 18th when I turn 27.

Chasing their Stars
I was saddened by the news that Roberto Heras, Lance Armstong's lieutenant, will be leaving the US Postal-Berry Floor team to lead the new Manolo Saiz' Liberty Seguros team. With this, I am sure the five-time Tour de France winner will have a harder time getting his sixth.

On second thought, it is a good move for the good old Roberto. He has proven thrice that he can ride what is probably the greatest bike race on the planet. Now, at the peak of his career, it's high-time for him to lead his own big team, with teammates picked expecially to help him win.

It's good to dream of what you want to be. But it takes a lot of balls to make it happen.

Chasing one's stars. Reaching for one's dreams. Now that's something.

To Roberto and to everyone who left to pursue their dreams, here's to you!

Tuesday, December 02, 2003

I woke up early - around a few minutes after seven. I don't know what the reason is, but I'm thinking it has something to do with me having a landline in my room and finally getting the chance to hook up my computer to the web.

It's day two.

We'll be leaving for Iloilo and Bacolod this Friday to party and mingle with our texters, and hopefully bring a much-needed boost in our traffic. We're not giving this up without a fight. Even if our competitors there has agimat. Wish us luck.

Blog Test
Hello? Testing. 1, 2, 3. Blog Test. Hello?

Now broadcasting from the suburbs of Marikina, it's your favorite blog - Confessions of an OJT Killer!

Thank you, thank you! Hello everyone! I'm finally back to the connected world. I am finally blogging in the comfort of my own home. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I finally have a landline. So let us all put our hands together and applaud the good old under-the-table technique for the guys at PLDT, for without any suhol I'd still be lost in this land in the middle of nowhere known as Marikina.

It's the first day of the last month of the year. The beginning of the end.

So how's everyone? As the great Rex Navarette would say, "What's up for you?" Hehehehe!
