Office Décor Competition
Yes, it’s Christmas time once again! The peso is down, the stocks are down, and ERAP is still in office. But we are Filipinos, and we have to have Christmas by hook and by crook. So tighten up your belts and skip your lunches, it’s going to be one helluva ride! Bring out those wacky plastic Christmas trees and pull out the Glade pine fresh while you’re at it. Christmas spirit – here we come!
Are you ready for a game? Let us pretend for a minute we’re not getting our bonuses. Let’s forget that a couple of people are leaving us after this month. Hey! Everything’s OK, everything’s fine, right? See that brown piggy bank I gave you last Christmas? That thing’s cheap! I brought it from Divisoria -- three for one hundred pesos. So don’t think twice, break it and get me those wonderful trinklets from Blue Magic for our Exchange Gifts program. Now!

Sabi nila...
"Saka mo mami-miss ang isang bagay kapag wala na ito"

We went to NU107 this morning, Yasmine and I. We talked and chatted about DATING SOMEONE YOU MET ONLINE. It was wonderful. Zach and Joey were wonderful hosts, and they made us stay there for some time :)
Had the resign scare again from a close friend in the office. The person threatened to file his resignation today because his/her boss thinks that he/she doesn't know what he's talking about. I guess we're still alive... that is until he/she finds another line of work.
Again I ask: how much is the worth of an employee? If we strive to be indispensable to every Filipino, then shouldn't we, the employees, strive to be indispensable also - meaning we should be valued more? Just a thought. Hmmm.

How much is the value of an employee?

Call me the messiah! Yes, the savior!
My friend from Laguna, who is a single mother, had a quarrel with her parents, and so she called her only dependable friends to pick her up. Ngayong naninirahan siya sa bahay ko, mas lalo pa siyang kulong dahil hindi pa rin niya maiwan-iwan ang kanyang anak para maghanap ng trabaho. Siya mismo ang nag-set ng kanyang sariling limitasyon kaya't she caught in a dead end with her 1 and a half year-old son.
I guess I have to tell her to go back to Laguna at maglayas na lang siya after 5 years kapag kaya na niyang iwan ang bata.

I think I am in deep shit. After all the events -- the chat fevers, eyeballs, and stuff -- it all boils down to your mbo. Ang problema ay talagang taliwas na nga sa dating isinulat. Paano ba yan? Hindi ba counted ang pogi points?

Reaching 50% of your MBO just doesn't cut it!

That was a wonderful vacation. I think we all agree that it helped us a lot in the office in terms of being "re-created". What a wonderful world. I hate to say this, but I think I'm wishing for more typhoons to come. Pathetic, isn't it?
