May pangakong taglay ang 2003 para sa akin
In a couple of hours, it'll be September. October is around the corner. Soon enough it's November, then December. So what's the point I'm driving at here? Remember when I started my post this year with a bold statement (i.e, May pangakong taglay ang 2002 para sa akin)? Well, it's almost 2003 and I don't see any promises being fulfilled. Somehow I'm slowly beginning to realize that making these bold statements has become a yearly affair. Unless I do something about it. (Or I buy a set of those cool Rune Stones that Joseph has.)
I'm finished buying Stacey, my inaanak, gifts for her first birthday. I got her about a dozen Filipino children's books and a sungka set. I hope Mareng Chegay and Pareng Alvin knows how to play sungka so they can teach dear old Stacey how to when she's old enough.
SMS has entered the Blog!
I don't know if you noticed, but I've come up with an SMS poll on the left section of this webpage. If you were in my shoes, what will you do if you found out that the one you love already has a BF/GF? I'll be posting my dilemma at PinoyCentral TV's poll (and you can see the results realtime). Please help me make a decision.

Lately, everyone's really looking forward to the weekend. These past few weeks, Wednesday pa lang laspag ka na. Mas lalo na siguro next week sa pagdating ng dati kong bossing from her long hiatus in the States.
Bring out the Steve in you was Emer's message in his e-mail. We'll see.
I take back what I said about the Runes. I think I know what to do.

I have nothing to write about.
It's almost September. Joseph would be leaving soon and I haven't given him anything yet.
I could've been in Cebu right now. We could've had a budget for the eyeball right now. But life is shit.
Based from a third party study, we're number one. Oh yeah. You gotta remind me of this every now and then.
Why is it that for guys, we have no problems getting gifts for our inaanaks who are boys, but gets a hard time in getting one to our inaanaks who are a girls?

Haven't been blogging in a while. I've been busy with my life. I've been going out with this girl I met. Now I'm faced with this dilemma. I just discovered apparently that she's taken already. Bummer. I should move on.
Damn runes.

Calling on Erap
I think they should give back Erap his internet privileges in the Veterans' Memorial Hospital so he could also update his blog. Erap, if you're reading this (which I doubt), please update your blog. We miss you so.

He who laughs last..................... thinks slowest.
Everyone has a photographic memory.......... Some don't have film.
A day without sunshine is like................. well, night.
On the other hand.............. you have different fingers.
Change is inevitable........... except from a vending machine.
I just got lost in thought.......... it was unfamiliar territory.
When the chips are down....... the buffalo is empty.
Seen it all, done it all......... can't remember most of it.
Those who live by the sword........ get shot by those who don't.
I feel like I am diagonally parked...... in a parallel universe.
You have the right to remain silent...... anything you say will be misquoted, then used against you.
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Honk............ if you love peace and quiet.
Despite the cost of living....... have you noticed how it remains so popular. It is hard to understand how a cemetery raised its burial costs and blamed it on the cost of living.
Just remember........ if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

A fine is a tax for doing wrong..... a tax is a fine for doing well.
Everybody lies..... but it doesn't matter since nobody listens.
I wish the buck stopped here..... I could use a few.
I started out with nothing...... and I still have most of it.

I'm back from the Baguio trip with the boys. We had a blast. Wish we could do more of these trips.
I don't feel like writing paragraph upon paragraph of what happened. This will do for now:
1. Left Manila on Thursday and slept in Morny's new house at Mangaldan in Pangasinan.
2. It's hard to get chonkee in Baguio if you have no contacts. I've gone as far as saying the word out loud in the market. No reactions. On second thought, maybe they're scared of selling the stuff to some big guy wearing a bright yellow shirt.
3. It's only the Manileños who say that the Good Sheperd Ube Jam is the best in Baguio. The locals have other brands in mind.
4. The steps from session road going up to the Cathedral is six steps shy of being one hundred.
5. If you see five guys in a bar with a lounge act singing the ultimate senti songs, would you think that they're gay?
6. Morny's quotable quote: "Kung sa tingin lang, hindi mo naman iisipin na matalino si Rumel."
7. Steak and Toppings' Chicken Barbecue are to die for.
8. Joseph: "Why is it called Mongolian Grill when it's actually fried?"
9. In our whole stay in Baguio, I only won once in Mah Jong.
10. Went to a girlie bar called Jecks. The dancers suck. They didn't even go topless! Surprisingly, their live band rocks. Too bad nagbrown-out.
11. If Kris Aquino would run for office, would she win in Tarlac?

Learning for today: wearing long sleeves in the office makes you stick out like a sore thumb, which makes it easier for your officemates to spot you as the day's target. They label you as someone going for an interview or out on a date. It seems you have no right to wear something good because you feel good. Then again, who cares anyway?
The heavy rains and flash floods has caused them to cancel work in the office. We were thinking of going for Cinemanila at the new Greenbelt 3 cinemas, but they told us that the traffic was terrible. Sayang! I even invited her to join us. Maybe next time. So I went home and slept till 7:00 pm.

It's three o' clock in the morning. It's a Sunday and I'm in the office. No, I am not working. I just bought yesterday an 80-gigabyte hard disk and I brought my computer here to ask for help from the Bembol on the new Windows XP. To be quite honest, it's an OSX wannabe. No more rough edges on this operating system.
The Orange County movie premiere in Robinson's Galleria was a flop. For a premiere the turnout was quite low, which is quite sad because the movie was great. And I don't mean this because of the people I'm with. It really was fun. It reminded me of Joseph, with the main character wanting to be a writer and all.
We went out to Dampa after the film. After years of wishing for a taste of Dampa's delightful delicacies, I've finally been there! We had all the crabs, shrimp, panga and squid we can eat! I know it's a long drive from Ortigas to Sucat for seafoods, but it was worth it because she was there.
I'm going to stop this entry now before I make you all puke.
Enjoy your Sunday.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's Orange County movie premiere. The funny thing is I don't care what the movie is. What I'm all excited about is another day of being with her.
Today was a riot. We spent almost half the day in her office dubbing content for our channel. Now I'm wishing for more dubbing sessions soon. But with the way my schedule looks like, I fear I won't be able to have another one for a long time.
Slowly I'm sounding more and more like a high school student. What makes this weird is I'm aware of it.

Thank God it's Friday. I see this in almost all the blogs that I read and I can't blame them for feeling this way. It has been a really tiring week, and with the way things are cooking up for the coming week (i.e., appointments and deadlines), the weekend is something everyone looks forward to to catch up with their lives.
It's election time for the Batangas Mountain Bikers. I pray that it's going to be fair one this year. Last year was quite sneaky. There were no announcements whatsoever that the election was going to take place on that July ride, and so only a little more than ten people voted for the officers of the organization. The result: a non-existent president for the year 2001 with no significant projects (even the annual jersey).
The great MCG is here in the office. He looks ready for the wedding, sporting a long hair that would rival that of Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible II. The veil would look really good on him.
I was laughing my ass off when I read Emer's blog entry on the Sword of the Archangel Michael. Now I'm waiting for them to auction off the horses of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse! It reminded me of the Nativity Cross at Bethlehem. Now that was a big rip-off! Do you still remember the narrator's line when he introduced the product? "These stones were witnesses to Christ's birth."
I am still a MESALA member, but I have no plans of getting a loan. I'm now using it as a savings investment for my future. Instead of a plain savings account, where they deduct P2,000 from your salary automatically, I transferred it all on Capital Investment, where it earns interest every six months.
That last paragraph made me realize one thing - I am getting old. I have never really thought about saving and investing for the future until now. So is it a pension plan next? Who knows? I'm still at this bout of "depression", remember?

I was so disappointed by the new memo for MESALA members (i.e., you can only borrow one month's worth of salary for every year of service) that I bought myself a Pioneer DVD/VCD/MP3 player last Sunday at SM Megamall. I charged it to my Citibank credit card using the Paylite program. As a consequence of this action, I am now eternally chained to my credit card. I guess that's goodbye to the December trip to China I was planning. Sorry Joseph.
It's Friday tomorrow. One more day to go. I'm really looking forward to this weekend but dread it at the same time. Who knows what this bout of "depression" would make me buy next?
Oh yeah! I forgot! I had merienda with Maydel today at Windows Cafe at 9501. :D

Men, if you're going to pee, use the urinals instead of the toilet bowls whenever you can and help save water.
