Some Notes for Monday Meetings
1. Entertain phone calls outside the conference area. We don't want to hear you talking to your dad because your car is blocking his and your driver didn't move the Hi-Ace. Hello! Earth to Shakira! We're having a meeting here! The least you could do is lower your voice, dear.
2. Presentation counts, but make sure it has content too. Instead of focusing your time on the lay-out of your weekly updates for Monday's meeting, why don't you focus on what's in it? Can you say Wild Thornberries?
3. I don't know is never an answer, especially for a producer. If you don't know the answer, take initiative to find out what it is.

Regularization
Basing from the perspectives of different people, this can be a blessing or a curse. Nonetheless, let me start this entry by welcoming Caramba to the company. She's now regularized, and I think an inuman session in the bar is in order. Tequila Rose anyone?
On the other hand, I heard my favorite AE turned six months about a few weeks ago, and she instantly thinks she's in the company. Well before you think of anything like that, honey, I think you should look beyond the benefits. You know, things like text messages and hits are all and the same, or that there is more to the PLDT deal than just the commissions. How about trying to listen the next time I give an orientation so you don't have to ask me what we do? Do I sense another P750,000-exdeal in the works?

Halaga
Let's do a little Leyds-mode.

I find this really sad that I'm helplessly sitting here watching CNN waiting for the War in Iraq to begin. It is certain that people will die unless something happens now. Like a divine intervention from way up there.

Congratulations to Dan and Leyds! Good luck to both of you!
Dan, you're not a boy anymore. You're a man anymore!
Leyds, protect your jacket at all times! Don't leave it with Dan! But seriously speaking, I'm really happy for you. I really am. Just a tip: huwag mong hahayaang malunod ang sarili.

Dreams
I don't usually remember my dreams. Way back when I was a kid I used to remember them vividly, but now I don't. This is why I find today strange. For some reason I can remember what was last night's.
The first dream was in a civil war or something. They tapped the ROTC and I was assigned to a team situated to a makeshift bunker under the Ortigas flyover. There were no dead bodies all over. It was a deserted city, something like the scene from Saving Private Ryan.
I was just introduced to my commanding officer and he was briefing me of the situation. Then all of a sudden, men riding a beat up car with the top gone drove up to the bunker and machined gunned us. I woke up from the shaking I felt from being machined gunned and bullets going through my body.
The second one was a company planning session in a location which looked similar to Tagaytay's picnic grove. I was waiting to be called so I was strolling in the grounds. From a distance, I even saw Fiesta doing a one-on-one FGD of some sort. The scene was something like it's from one of the tables at Antipolo's Cloud 9 with a picturesque view of the city as the background.
I strolled along and I followed a path. It lead me to an officemate, who was on her cellphone talking to someone.
Then boss' assistant appeared from a bend and told us that the the boss was already looking for us. So we ran back to the club house.
What was strange was that I lead them to a shortcut that lead to a steep uphill. It was so steep that we had to climb on our fours. We figured it was too much when we saw that there was a mountain goat on top. My officemate was scared of the goat so we went down the silly hill and raced each other to the club house. She got there first.
So that's it. If you're into translating dreams, be a dear and tell me what you think.

Cyclists Mourn Kivilev's Death after Crash
Members of the Kivilev's Cofidis team at the start of the Paris-Nice stage
Cofidis team doctor Jean-Jacques Menuet said Kivilev almost certainly would have survived if he was wearing a helmet. "The injury Andrei sustained on his skull is located at a point that would have been protected by a helmet," Meunet told the French wire service AFP.
Don't be stupid. If you can afford to buy a bike, you can certainly afford to buy a helmet.

Little Happy Things
Is this happiness thing our theme this month?!
It might really be hard to look for something that would make you truly happy. Things like world peace, Saddam's head on a platter, true love, or an extremely sexy and rich but intelligent girlfriend don't just fall down from the sky. But there are little things that could make one happy as well. Maybe you can call this stepping stones towards true happiness.
I've made a list for myself. If you've got something to share, then feel free to post it, too!
1. Scramble. This is not the board game. This street food similar to halo-halo and snowcones is pinkish mixture of shaved ice and some secret ingredient served on a cup and topped with powdered milk and drops of chocolate syrup. The last time I tried this was after a long bike ride to Ibaan, Batangas via Dagatan.
2. A Big Fat Juicy Burger. Just imagine a Brother's Burger Pounder loaded with onions, cheese, mushrooms and bacon with fries on the side and lots of catsup and mayo. Now that is yummy. Maybe this has got something to do with the karne thing.
3. Baguio to La Union Downhill. That's 50 kilometers of fun and adrenaline. I heard this from the people at the Philippine Cycling Network. I haven't tried this yet, but I'm starting to think of planning a Baguio trip with Ate V this summer.
4. 190 Kilometers per Hour (with my balls intact). With her new air intake system, Chai reached a maximum of 165 kilometers per hour at the Sothern Luzon Access Road in yesterday's drive to Batangas without breaking a sweat. And that was with three people in the car, a tank full of gas, and a strong headwind. Her maximum before was around 170 with just the plain stock set-up. With the right combination, I think it's doable.
5. Smallville Season Two. I've seen the first season on DivX and now I can't wait to get a copy of the second season.
6. Free sex. I guess that's self-explanatory. But then I think I've got to get myself a wife or a girlfriend to make this a regular gig. But with that it will be more of a question on something broader like true love and true happiness. Fuck it!
That's the list for today. I'm sure there are more, but we'll get there in time.

Oh Happiness!
What would make you happy? When I say this I mean truly happy? I was talking to a friend last night, and this was what he was asking for. Just one thing, he said. Just one thing that he can be happy about.

Karne
Hehehehe!
Talking about karne, I remember my friend, Morny. Subukan niyo. Karne. One more time. Karne. KKKKKAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRNNNNEEEEEEE. Very good! Hindi ba't nakakatuwa ngang bigkas-bigkasin?
Ikaw? Ano ang iyong paboritong salitang ibig bigkasin palagi?

I've tried Vanilla Coke. It tastes like... ummm... Coke. With Vanilla. It's surprisingly good, but I'd still go for Pepsi Blue given the choice. Too bad it's no longer available.
After Ate V and Cheez Whiz it's now Chai's turn to splurge. I bought her a set of the ICEMAN Air Intake system and a pair of red and white multi-reflector taillights.
