Tiny's Quotable Quote
" Ummm, Jovs. Last question: What's the channel again of PCTV?"
Putang ina! I can't believe she asked me this! How bobo can she get?! I would've excused her if she weren't working in the team, but she is. What does this mean? That she hasn't even checked out the channel at all? So she's making concepts from out of the blue without even knowing the basic stuff, like the channel assignment! Tangina! To think her contract is for one year, and she's getting more than some people who contribute much more than her!
Fire her please before I lose all my hair.

I thought I could take a week-long leave with my boss back from his three-week hiatus in Spain. but I think have to do a rain check on that one with all the stuff we're coming up with. I'd probably get a one or two-day break just to get my act back together for the big push for these projects before I take a full break. Being an OIC for three weeks took its toll on me with all the non-stop action from day one.
A number of congratulations is in order. First, to my friend, Rumel, for he has proved to us that he is truly boyfriend material. Second, to Lance Armstrong, for bagging the title in the centennial edition of the Tour de France and joining the greats with five consecutive wins. Third, to Tyler Hamilton, for placing an impressive fourth overall in this year's Tour despite a broken collarbone. Lastly, to Vina, for making us believe in miracles (well... at least making us believe that snuffy is real). Hope that baby's got its nose from the father. (Sorry, I can't resist that one).
Well, no more Nokia 3650 for me. That phone has all the features you'd want but it flunked big time on the basic stuff - texting. I think it was April fools when the Nokia engineers designed this phone. Anyway, Cha's friend is buying it from me tomorrow. Now I can get the Sony-Ericsson T610.

I need to blog. I miss it already. Too bad I haven't got the time I need.
Hello everybody. I'm still alive. I'm just loaded with work so I don't have that much time to blog anymore. This is the last stretch of me being OIC. Just two days to go, including today, and I'm back to the usual level 2 employee.
Top Five Things to do when you're the OIC
5. Treat the boys and girls to the 14th floor resto and charge it to the company.
4. Pretend you know the meaning of all those letters of the alphabet they're saying (i.e., MG, PNL).
3. Sign, sign, sign!
2. Brag that you had coffee with the boss.
1. Do an interpretative song and dance in lieu of powerpoint for your weekly updates in mancom.

I am really grateful to Cha's parents for lending me the Altis. What made it doubly sweet was we didn't even ask for it. They know my car's not allowed on the road today because of the number coding, so they told Charo that I could drive home their car on Tuesday night. Awwww. It's giving me this warm fuzzy feeling.
It's her dad's birthday today and we're celebrating it over dinner at Katre in Timog Avenue. This will be my second time in this restaurant. The first time I dined here was in my first week as a chat and message board coordinator. At that time I had no friends yet in the office and lunch time was usually the Burger King drive-thru.

Bansot
Bansot - this word reminded me of the first poem that we had to memorize for our Filipino class when I was a freshman in high school.
I can't remember the first lines of the poem, but it goes something like this:
"... Maraming uri ang pagkabansot, ngunit ang pinakamalungkot na uri raw ay ang pagkabansot ng isipan, ng puso, at ng diwa."
In a lot of ways, I think the pagkabansot is one of the problems of this office, and it roots mostly to some people being satisfied with just being mediocre, hence there is no growth in them. Bansot.

Instead of being defensive to criticism on what you do and say things like "that's impossible! The retry link has got to be there!", why don't you take a more open stand and see if what the person is saying might be true?
How can we be able to help each other out if we're overly defensive on what we do and shoot down each person who enters our territory? In our line of work, we have to be first ones to admit and accept that there are things we can and cannot do. Only through this openness to ourselves will we be on top.
Just a thought.

I'm just taking a break from work to blog on nothing. I just want to type and let the stress out.
The boss is on a clan vacation in Spain and he assigned me as his OIC while he's away. To be honest I am actually quite flattered with the new responsibility. What's good is I'm excited and I'm willing to face everything head on. I just need to adjust from the combined load of my old and new work.
We watched Rex Navarette's Sir Rex at The Dish. He was hilarious and the show would've been great if not for my Seatmate From Hell. Her laughter still echoes in my mind as I write this entry, and one thing comes to mind - Ria is haunting me. Scary.
I applied for Smart plan 1335 and it comes with a Nokia 3650. I don't know if I should be excited.
