A Day of Upsets
It's a day of upsets in the UAAP. Former top placer Ateneo loses to the NU bulldogs with a 62-76 final score, while the UP Maroons won against the Archers in the second game, 80-70.

What are they selling?!
Have you tried to listen to the lines of these young sampaguita vendors nowadays?
I was waiting for the green light on my way home from the office at the corner of Timog Avenue and EDSA.
"Sir, bilhin niyo na po ito nang makauwi na po ako," was what the young girl said.
She was barely six years old. She held in her hand a single string with about four flowers of sampaguita.
She is appealing to my emotion. Instead of focusing on the sampaguita, she's asking me make her go home.
Gone are the days when sampaguita vendors are really selling sampaguitas. From vending, they are actually begging.

Finally, the much awaited merit increase has been approved. We're just waiting for word on how much it is and when can we get it.
The first time I heard the news, images of the latest Shimano XTR groupset flash to my mind. Ooooh! Love that stealth gray paint job. I really want to try out the new integrated shifting system in the deep forests (?) of Batangas.
But I have to stop and remind myself that I have to save my money for the future. Chai would be needing her 65,000-kilometer preventive maintenance check-up soon, and I still owe my sister P14,000.
Darn. Don't you just hate it when your conscience kicks in?
Just got a pre-approved Bankard VISA from RCBC through the mail. Now I'm thinking whether or not I should use it. A credit card would be good for emergencies when you don't have cash, but on the other hand I risk getting myself buried in debt all over again. And after my saga with the Dark institution known as Citibank, I feel I don't want to go through those abusive and rude bill collectors for the second time. Yes, it's that traumatic.

What I'm doing now is bullshit, but I'm still doing it anyway. Doesn't that make me stupid?
I am writing down the reply messages for all my services for Globe's brochure, which, I strongly believe, is a total waste of my time. With this comprehensive list, chances are my keywords will get drowned anyway.

I don't know whether this is a good thing or a bad thing but I'm back.
Isang Fabilioh naman jan! First things first, how the hell did we do that?! the game was all tied up at the end of the third quarter. Then, as if we're in a sugar overload rampage, it was raining three-pointers for the Hail Mary squad as they stomped the Tamarraws with an 87-63 final score.
What's up for you? With the three-week leave over, I'm now trying to catch up on everything. As proof, the motif of my Lotus Notes is now flaming red with all the emails that need to be read.
From a blood pressure of 150/100, it is now 132/109 when I checked this morning. Not bad. The sucky diet must be working. Well, it should. the food I'm eating tastes so bland. Now all I have to figure out is where to put the exercise in my schedule.
Just a few more days to go before we enter the "ber" months. Im getting ready. I've got my good ol' "let it snow" mp3 in the playlist.
