And then?
I arrived in the office a few minutes before 10 AM and it looked deserted. There were only seven of us here. Now it's 11:13 AM and everyone's thinking of going to Megamall for lunch. Hmmm. Not a bad idea.
Here are some quotable quotes on the planning session:
"So you're planning there, huh? Well, we're planning here, too! When you come back, let's compare and see which is better."
"Let them plan while we delete all the content."
Bwahahahahahaha!

I got these from the Humor thread of the company's message board.
A bus station is where a bus stops.
A train station is where train stops.
On my desk, I have a work station.
What more can I say?
Practice makes perfect.
But nobody's perfect.
So why practice?
If it's true that we are here to help others, then, what exactly are others here for?
Never put off the work till tomorrow what you can put off today.
Hard work never killed anybody, but why take the risk?
Work fascinate me! I can look at it for hours!

Conduct Unbecoming
If Tenorio were in the high school, he would've definitely gotten it from the APDIS with a suspension. I saw what he did on screen and it saddens me - clearly a conduct unbecoming of an Atenean.

In about 45 minutes Thursday will be over. I can't wait. Todays' a sucky day. The show didn't go as smoothly as we wanted it to be with all the technical glitches. And to think that we have a sponsor already. Good thing I sent the TVC's to Namayan or we're dead.
I don't know what's freaking wrong with the fucking network. About an hour before the show, everything is just the way we like it - the polls load in a snap and the chat scroll works relatively ok. But come thirty minutes before airtime the problems come in. Out of the blue, the polls don't load anymore and the chat is at a stand still.
These things happen. Always. All the time. It's as if we're doing Macbeth that the show's that cursed or somebody's hacking into our network just to discredit us and bring us down. As to why would anyone do it is beyond my comprehension. They've already stopped us from being shown in Home cable. We're in some channel way up nobody knows where. Now this.
Hope the sucky day won't turn into a sucky week.
See you tomorrow.

I had this hunch that we're going to lose today's ball game when I saw the boys run out from the dugout - they were wearing blue. I remembered what Coralu said - the chances of Ateneo losing is higher when they're wearing that color instead of white.
Saturday's game would be hard-fought, but my senses tell me Ateneo would emerge as the victor.

Haven't blogged in a while. The reason? Friendster. Actually, I am not that active there. I've only given a couple of testimonials and exchanged some messages to some friends, and that's just about it. I'm just fond of adding people into my list.
So it won't be an Ateneo-La Salle in the UAAP finals this year. Next year, perhaps?

Just when you thought they've learned their lesson from last year's chat flop, they're back for another round! What I'm talking about is, of course, the AFI chat.
Is it a worthwhile endeavor? No.
In my opinion, it's a doomed to fail even before we launch it. Last year, I think we got like 50 hits or something -- not a good turnout from all the puyat we did. In other words, it's another Crave in the making.
But hey! Things might be different this year! Maybe things will work out. Maybe the chat would bring in more audience for us and more donations for them.
Maybe.
If it's any consolation, I think this year's producer for this event will show up. On time.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

After almost a decade, I'm giving up my old wallet for a new one. I actually don't want to, having a sentimental value as it was given to me by my siblings in my first years in college, but I have no choice. The old one is so dilapidated already.
That's the only thing I bought for myself with the merit increase. The rest is divided to Chai's preventive maintenance and my savings account.

I'm excited with the new BMB website I'm designing. I can't launch it yet because I'm just in the front page, but at this point I can honestly say that it looks cleaner and more mature than the previous one.

Extinction Level Event and no Morgan Freeman?!
I read this in ABS-CBN Breaking News this morning. It gave me goose bumps. I just figured I would still be alive by then at the age of 37 or 38.
Asteroid heading for Earth, may hit in 2014
LONDON - A giant asteroid is heading for Earth and could hit in 2014, U.S. astronomers have warned British space monitors.
Astronomers, however, said the chances of a catastrophic collision are just one in 909,000.
Asteroid "2003 QQ47" will be closely monitored over the next two months. Its potential strike date is March 21, 2014, but astronomers said any risk of impact is likely to decrease as further data is gathered.
On impact, it could have the effect of 20 million Hiroshima atomic bombs, a spokesman for the British government's Near Earth Object Information Center told BBC radio.
