MBO Shhmembeo

5% - Gone. After all the pangungulit to both the people from uplink and the people from TOC, the transfer from Mandaluyong to here won't happen.

20% - Almost gone. Because of agimat. From all the things I placed there, only Water War lives. There goes the part on developing interactive games.

10% - Gone. How can I have people development if there are almost no people to develop.

15% - Almost gone. No budget for eyeballs, no budget for the anniversary party, too.

20% - Gone. No budget for doing interactive shows.

Do the math.

Laspag na 'yan!
Sandra Bullock falls for Lance Armstrong?! Yes, you read that right! The five-time Tour de France champion is seen a number of times with the actress. Hmmm. Mukhang mahihirapan na si Lance to get a sexth.. este, sixth title, if you know what I mean! Wink, wink! Hehehehe!

Do you get that feeling that you want to blog but you really don't have anything to blog about? Well, this is exactly the dilemma I'm having right now. I just want to type and type without making sense at all. I just want to let lose. It's good theraphy, they say, and it's exactly what I'm doing now.

Look! I'm finished with my first paragraph and into my second. This is cool. With a bit of luck and a lot of imagination, I can probably stretch this to look like one big serious blog that would make lurkers stop and read.

See. Now I'm on my third. And I'm actually thinking of closing this entry. Hmmm. Maybe just a few more sentences to go before I put a period and publish it. There. It looks cool.

Projects
Oooh! The pressure of coming up with titles for the blog! Hehehehe!

It's 8:20 PM. I'm here in the office waiting for my W2B to finish with her work. She has a lot of things to do. On the other hand, I am taking my time to relax after a long day.

I really hate working with that Rauli guy. I just got news from Joko that the Finnish guy didn't access the PC last night. Now how the hell are we going to make that damn program run if they don't even do what they're suppose to do? It's bad enough that they don't give us the full documentation of their product, now they offer us their "state-of-the-art" tech support. Mark my word. Filipinos will overtake them soon.

So much for XO. After spending months of planning with the supposed creative consultant, it ended up as a segment. I can't help but laugh this morning when I heard the news. Whew! I'm glad that's over and done with. Now let's go back to some real community building!

Talking about community building, my community builders are asking for a bonus of sorts. I know where they're coming from but I really don't know if it's doable at this point now that we know our traffic isn't stable. What I need from them is something to back me up for this fight.

Tulong Dunong is dying. I got the email from one of the teachers from the high school. I even posted it in the Ateneo 1997 friendster bulletin board.

Honestly, I want to work on this project. I've been thinking about this for about a week now. I'm thinking of a concert with bands and artists from the Ateneo, all for the benefit of TD. We can get sponsors for this event and have it aired on the channel for more media mileage. That would be cool! Imagine, aside from getting a good rep from the alumni, that's gonna be content for us! The only thing that's stopping me is manpower. I need a team of dedicated individuals who can help me make it happen. I'm thinking if Morny is willing to help me here, then maybe it can work.

Hey people! This is a better investment than that spoiled basketball team, don't you think?

What's with Biguerlai Slimming Tea and Korgivit-E?! I've been checking my site's traffic, and almost always there's gotta be a one IP from Google or some other search engine from a person wanting to know more about one of these two!

Look, if you want to know more, reward your curiosity with a trip to Mercury drug and purchase these products. Better yet, why don't you combine the two - Biguerlai slimming tea with Korgivit-E! Now that would be cool! Just imagine, on one end you have a hard dick that would last you the whole night long, and on the other, you'd be shitting like hell with the effects of the slimming tea.

Hehehehehe!

What a wonderful entry to start the whole week.

Happy Monday everyone!

Monday Babble
Monday is almost over.

I still have a stiff neck. Must be because of my sleeping position last night. It's that or maybe it's how I handled Cha's TV while I was bringing it up to her room.

I don't think it has anything to do with hypertension. I checked my blood pressure this morning and it was pretty normal - 146/92. I know. That's not what a normal reading, but it is still OK for me. Probably brought about also by the short hours of sleep I get nowadays. Maybe I should rethink the waking up at 7:30 in the morning thing.

Bridgetarians
OK ok. Bridgetines. Bridgetarians is what Ron Capinding called the people who studied in Saint Bridget's.

Anyway, back to the story.

You wouldn't believe who I met yesterday while I was in Podium - Anna Marie Soriano, my old crush from way back in my grade school days in Batangas! I was too torpe then so nothing happened, which is good because she really looks so old now. It must be a blessing in the sky! Hehehehehe!

She doesn't work in IBC 13 anymore. Married to a military man, she's a mother of two and now works for the Department of National Defense.

In the short span of time we chatted, I updated myself to some of the stuff that happened to our grade school batchmates.

I know that Karlo Garcia is married to Che. What I don't know is that he's now a proud father of two. Also on the grade-school-friend-getting-married list is my long lost buddy, Chester Elepaño, who apparently got married but broke it off soon afterwards.

I don't know how the others are now. Did David James Javier do well after being the valedictorian in the high school? What happened to Marlon Marquez, our old grade school valedictorian? Where the heck is Aries Amorado?

We should've had a grade school reunion.

It's the damn Friendster's fault that I began thinking about this.

A 24-hour long weekend
Almost, anyway.

If Alias got you hooked, 24 will make you ask for more. This is exactly what happened to me and Cha last weekend. It was a lazy Saturday and we were just in the house watching DVD's. After seeing Down with Love, we were looking for something to watch next, and it ended with a choice between watching Hero and 24. We chose the latter.

Now we're in finished with the four of the six DVD's already, and we can't wait to go back home to finish the series.

Addicts!

If you're planning on doing the marathon, heed to their advice - allot a full day to watch it. Bring everything you think you'll need - food, drinks, pillows and arinola.

I'm finished the preliminary stuff for the project, but my boss' reason still doesn't make sense to me. Why would we buy a product from someplace else when we already have a similar one up and running and giving us a pretty respectable return? I know that we probably would need these guys in some projects in the future but must this cost us our own product?

Tuesday, October 07, 2003

I have to admit we're in a slump these past few months. We just do what is required, more or less. Although our output might be more than what others deliver, there's really no will to excel.

You can't blame us. Our traffic was at its peak and we were getting ready for the next steps until Agimat and the disconnection gave us a one-two punch. It was such a big blow that we had to face the inevitable and let go the people whom we owe our success to.

It's so bad that I honestly don't want to fill out the recent performance appraisal form. I am in no mood to write fiction. What am I supposed to write as my achievements for the first part of this year? That we discovered agimat and thought of ways of taking it out? That I successfully cut down channel costs, which is a good euphemism for retrenchment? That I was the team's OIC for three weeks? I don't think so.

But something came up today - something we've been dreaming about for a long time. We're given the go signal to transfer our playback facilities here! Now, with just a trusty camera and a decent microphone, we can air our shows live any time! No more TFPO's! No more microwave to worry about! Not only would it cut down costs, it would also make us a lot more flexible and creative!

This may be the answer we're looking for. We're keeping our fingers crossed. We can't wait for this to happen.

Word for the day

Our word for today is Fellatio.

Definition: Kung saan nakatira ang hari at reyna.

Example: Dahil sa pagmaltrato sa mga manggagawa, wala silang ibang opsyon kundi magwelga sa fellatio ng Malakanyang.

Ateneo lost to FEU, but surprisingly I don't feel that bad. Usually I'd be sourgraping by now. I guess it's because the other team played so well that they really deserve the championship. I was there in Araneta and I witnessed how superbly they executed their choking defense. It was simply marvelous! I guess it takes a Banal to beat a Banal.

Hmmm. It doesn't seem that way anymore.

Ateneo won the game against arch-rival De La Salle yesterday over a jampacked crowd at the Araneta Coliseum. It was intense, and as predicted, there were fights -- amongst the players and amongst the fans.

I don't know about the others, but the win doesn't seem that sweet. There used to be honor and respect from both teams after the game. This time the singing of the alma mater song was replaced by a rumble of sorts.

There may be a ray of hope. Caught on camera, the Ateneo team was praying the rosary in the bench.

This one's for you, Mary.
