I should be taking my shower but I can't help but watch my wife as she lies peacefully asleep. Five minutes. Ten minutes. I think I can do this forever. Sadly, it won't last that long. Pretty soon, I would have to wake her up so she can take her turn to the shower and prepare for the day's work.

Word for the Day Caveat 1. To connect. Example: Start na ng Ber months next month! Caveat ka na ng Christmas lights at parol sa bahay. 2. Mistress. Example: O! Easy ka lang at malakas ang kapit niyan sa itaas. Hindi mo ba alam na caveat iyan ng isa sa mga Diyos? 3. A province in the Southern Tagalog region of the Philippines. Example: Nagtatrabaho ka sa Quezon City pero sa Caveat ka pa umuuwi?! Maghanap ka na lang ng apartment dito!

My wife got promoted and I'm so happy for her. Her company recognized all the efforts she gave beyond what is expected from her.
In a way, it feels like I'm part of that promotion. It's great to see that all those times I waited for her to finish her work late at night has paid off. It gives me this warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Quotable Quotes
"Bakit ang dami-dami niyong binibiling sapatos Eh hindi naman namin tinitingnan 'yan?"
Mike Ortiz trying to decipher the female's need to buy shoes
"Ang galing-galing talaga ni Collin Powell Sa Miami Vice!"
Something I don't want to hear from someone who watched the movie at The Power Plant

Last night's gimmick seemed very much like a page from my college years. After watching Miami Vice at the Power Plant and thinking that having coffee at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Eastwood is just too far, we ended up picking Cathy and Mike up for a midnight snack in Tagaytay. It was a "sperm" of the moment kind of thing.
We got there at around 12:30 in the morning after testing out the Civic a bit in a relatively traffic-free South Superhighway. We were supposed to go to Cafe Lupe but backed out a few steps from their front door because of the loud music. We ended up at the Mile Hi Diner, which is just a short walk from there.
Food was mediocre at best (at least for what we ordered), but it didn't matter as the stories and jokes of the early-morning gimmick coupled with the nice ambiance took the center stage.
We paid the bill and drove back to Manila after staying there for a little more than an hour. It was a fun drive as the girls were asleep and I had the chance to rev up the car till a little over 140 kph. With the Batman theme playing from the Ipod, there's nothing more you can ask for.
It was almost four o' clock in the morning when we got back after driving Mike and Cathy to their homes. We tried as much as possible not to much too much noise going up so that we won't wake up Charo's parents. But just when we're about to turn off the lights, her mom called and asked us if we just got back home. Hehehehe!

Just A Thought #509 If there's such a thing as "plain housewife", is there an option for "extra crispy"?
5:15 PM
Top Things I'd Buy for Connie 1. Thule Roof Rack for my bike, Cheez Whiz 2. Foglamps 3. Dension IceLink for my iPod 4. Magwheels I added these up and realized it would set me back around P78K.
Wish I had the money. But let's face it, with the way things are going, I doubt I would be earning that much on a per month basis in this lifetime. (Actually there's a chance, and that is if the Peso devaluates to the levels of P100:$1.)
With this, there are always options: A. Ask for a raise. B. Get another job. C. Set my own business. D. Racket. E. Mesala, Mesala, Mesala. F. Kidnap the dad of a wealthy Chinese friend and keep him unguarded in a house in the same village where he lives.

It's the first day of August 2006 and this man's fancy turns to generating royalty reports for his game suppliers. Yes, it's a monthly thing - similar to menstruation but with less blood. Go SQL! Yeahbah!
